HOUSE SERRA DO CURRAL
The initial idea for the construction of this house was to develop an architectural design that would unite the magnificent landscape of Serra do Curral with a view from above of the entire city of Belo Horizonte. The accentuated slope of the plot of land suggested the distribution in three levels: living areas and living areas, where the two landscapes meet. They stayed on the main level; the upper one was reserved for the intimate area.
Garage, service and home theater were arranged on the lower level. Thus, without distinction, all spaces in the house open to these two main views.
The care in the trace reserves in the front wall, which frames the relief of the mountain, a curved movement for the comfortable growth of a yellow ipê in the internal garden. Still in the external area, the implantation of the swimming pool at the end of the land, increases the size of the terrace garden, increasing the distances reflected from the lights, clouds and buildings.
In a coherent way, far from lifeless minimalism, the arrangement of intimate, social and service spaces allows a constant feeling of the whole, avoiding the sense of loneliness of empty environments and favoring the coexistence of residents. Through cuts, movements and textures, clean on the outside and warm on the inside, the game of planes takes place that captures shadow and generates paths.
