Lagoa Santa Residence
The goal for this house was to embrace the external space as part of the architectural project, as an expanded ground. The unit unfolds itself, setting up lines, framings and frames which surround the space of the main block, so giving the open and landscaped areas an additional architectural value.
More than just expansions – architecture itself.
The big prismatic shape and its concave indent create dynamic shadow lines that change the luminosity of the internal spaces, while also discerning the social area and the private rooms and indicating the ways.
The latticework-controlled transparencies are our choice for assuring the privacy needed in the living room and, at the same time, making it possible to completely open the doors in days of party and vastness.
The solid shape settles on the ground, taking over the landscape. In the set of rooms and surfaces, the kitchen cone marks the spot of the preparation of good food.
