Academy of Literature - MG
The annex to the Academy, with its demeanor, welcomes the look of the passersby who go up Bahia St. and directs it to the impressive manor Borges da Costa.
Both buildings retain their identities, but talk to each other through the harmony that exists between the two volumes and the architectural features common between them.
Inside, in the foyer-gallery with a double ceiling height and overhead lighting and in the autograph room and auditorium, a lighted environment of openness is built in contrast with the interiority of the manor.
A two-way conversation, two contrasting ways (of looking) that create an open space.
The city is a sum of rhythms.
